Why “Chasing” Doesn’t Work

If you want abundance, and you start to chase it, the vibration that you are “coming from” feels like scarcity.  The universe interprets this as “lack” and delivers more lack.  The fact is, you can’t get something when you’re upset that you don’t have it yet.  Frustrating but true.  So this is why it doesn’t work.

If you want to reach a special number on the scale, you will notice the same pattern. Your desperate feeling of hating your body and chasing being thin will actually backfire.  Of course you know what I’m going to say next – that this same principle works in the relationship department as well. Desperation does not bring you what you are hoping for in a partner, either business or romantic.

I used to think it was unfair that coming from “lack” seemed to backfire and bring you more lack. Of course if you don’t have enough money for next month’s rent, you’ll feel anxious and desperate! Who wouldn’t? But when I “got” that this principle always worked, either direction, then I knew it was an easy formula I could follow. If backfiring was a sure thing when “coming from” lack, then all I had to do was change my vibration, and the results would change too, like clockwork!

So now let’s work on the “replace” part.

How do you release this vibration of “chasing” and get what you want? The three best options for replacing the “chasing” vibration are:

  1. Express gratitude about some aspect of the topic. (I’m grateful this job is paying the rent… I’m grateful I have flexible hours…)
  2. Change the subject entirely. (Odd, right?)  If you’re desperate to find a partner, focus on something different, like how much you like your garden. If you’re desperate to change a health condition, focus on the joy you have about your home environment. You get the point.  Just… feel… better, no matter how you do it.
  3. Feel secure and “know” that you will receive what you want.

Side of Eye: I’ve been chasing instead of allowing
Under Eye: I keep “chasing” and feel desperate
Nose: I feel so much lack
Chin: I need to change my vibration
Collarbone: I now know why it’s not working
Under Arm: I need to feel more secure about receiving
Head: I need a new vibration

Repeat these positive follow-up phrases while tapping on the identified points.

Eyebrow: I’m ready to “come from” a new vibration
Side of Eye: It’s time to release my vibration of lack
Under Eye: I love changing my energy
Nose: I choose to “come from” a higher vibration
Chin: I love a more joyful vibration
Collarbone: I appreciate my new vibration
Under Arm: I understand that I can change this
Head: I choose to “come from” a positive vibration
